Sneak preview of new products from India

joyatri_promo1.jpgUntil I am able to post individual photos, information, and prices of the new products I purchased in India, here are two photos that show a teeny-tiny selection of what I bought. As always, the profits from everything I sell goes to animal welfare groups in India.

Some of the items in the photos are: woven grass mat fans from Karnataka; kalamkari wall hangings from Andhra Pradesh; wooden toys, key chains (the frog hanging on the black bag below), and pencil sharpeners with vegetable-dyed lacquer finishes from Andhra Pradesh; kalamkari dhurries; lac bangles; 5-metal alloy necklaces and figurines from Orissa; woven bags from Rajasthan; and block-printed cotton scarves from Jaipur.

Arriving by boat in a couple months will be clothes, bedspreads, tablecloths, pillow covers, a wide range of cotton scarves and stoles, greeting cards, and silver jewelry.joyatri_promo2.jpg
